Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb beef flank steak, sirloin, or ribeye, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil for stir frying
  • 1 bell pepper thinly sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot julienned
  • 1/2 cup snap peas ends trimmed
  • 2 green onions chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds optional, for garnish
  • steamed rice optional, for serving

Method
 

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the thinly sliced beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Stir for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the bell pepper, broccoli, carrot, and snap peas. Stir fry for 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  5. Return the beef to the pan, pour in the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and honey. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Serve immediately with steamed rice.
