Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms sliced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 ounces egg noodles
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Method
 

  1. Cook egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Brown ground beef in a skillet with olive oil. Cook until browned, breaking into small pieces.
  3. Sauté chopped onions and minced garlic until onions are translucent.
  4. Add sliced mushrooms and cook until soft and tender.
  5. Stir in flour, then gradually add beef broth, whisking continuously to avoid lumps. Cook until thickened.
  6. Reduce heat, stir in sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Combine with noodles and season with salt and pepper.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute sour cream with Greek yogurt.
