  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
For the Gravy:
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water (to mix with cornstarch)

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, milk, onion, egg, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  2. Divide mixture into 4 portions and shape into oval patties.
  3. Cook patties in hot oil for 3-4 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. Add broth, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to skillet. Simmer and stir to combine.
  5. Mix cornstarch and water, then stir into gravy. Return patties to skillet, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes.

Notes

For a healthier option, use lean ground beef and low-sodium broth. Serve with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
